1.What is a solar charge controller?
Solar Charge Controller (or Regulator) is a device which protects the batteries in a solar electric system from being overcharged or being over-discharged. It is need in virtually all solar power systems that utilize batteries.
 
2.What is PWM charging mode?
PWM charging mode is used to automatically converted duty ratio of pulse current to charge the battery, so pulsecharging can make battery more secure and fast full of electricity, 
the battery disconnect period produced by the chemical reaction of oxygen and hydrogen in the time to re-combination and absorbed, so that concentration polarization and ohmic polarization naturally be eliminated, thereby reducing the internal pressure of the battery, so that the batterycan absorb more energy.
 
3.Solar charge controller order of wiring
Step 1: Connect the battery, installation fuse, pay attention to safety device from the battery is extreme maximum distance of 150mm, after wiring is correctly then connected to the fuse; Step 2: Connect the load; Step 3: Connect thephotovoltaic array.
  
4.What is float charge?
   When boost charging is completed, the controller is transferred to the float control stage. When the battery is fully charged, no longer have more electrochemical reaction, all of the charging current is converted to heat and precipitationgases. When entering into the float charge stage, floating stage with smaller voltage and current for charging the battery so that reducing the battery temperature and precipitation gas at the same time, the float charging stage charging very weak. The purpose of float charging is to compensate for the battery self-discharge and small loads generated by the system power consumption, while maintaining full battery storage of electricity. In the floating stage, the load can continue to get power from the battery. If the system load exceeds the solar charging current, the controller will no longerbe able to float the battery voltage is maintained at the set value.
  
5.What is boost charge?
   When the battery is charged to a boosted voltage set value, the controller continuously adjusting the charging current tothe battery voltage is maintained at the set point voltage of boost. This can prevent the battery overheating and generate gas. The battery is maintained in boost charging stage about 120 minutes, and then goes to the
floating stage.
  
6.What is equalizing charge?
   Some types of batteries on a regular basis due to an equalizing charge, to stir the electrolyte, balanced the battery voltage, to complete the chemical reaction. Equalizing charge to improve the battery voltage, which is higher than the standard supplying voltage, so that the battery electrolyte gasification.
  
7.Why should the controller have temperature compensation function?
As temperature rises, electrochemical activity in the battery increases. Similarly, as temperature falls, electrochemical activity decreases. Therefore, as temperature rises, charging voltage should be reduced to prevent overcharge, as temperature falls, charging voltage should be increased to avoid undercharge. In general, to assure optimum service life, use of a temperature compensated charger is recommended.
